Wuhan Himalaya Optoelectronics Technology Co.,Ltd was founded in 2008 in Wuhan Optical Valley, with the registered capital of 51.8 million yuan. And in August 2013，the company has been overall relocated to Xianning Hi-tech Development Zone.

In order to comply with the national new energy vehicles and other strategic emerging industry development direction, as well as the need for the development of economic transformation and innovation, a technology transfer contract between Wuhan Himalaya Optoelectronics Technology Co.,Ltd and Tsinghua University was signed, along with the Tsinghua-Himalaya hydrogen fuel cell industrialization base established.

The research and preparation of key materials such as catalyst, membrane electrode assembly and bipolar plate had been completed in 2016, which had achieved the localization of key materials and components of hydrogen fuel cells, reduction greatly of the dependence on imports and manufacturing costs. In May 2017, the company has built a fuel cell stack production line, with an annual production capacity of 1000 units (30kw/units). As more specialized and automated fuel cell production lines will be completed in June 2018, the company’s annual output capacity will reach 12000 units (30kw/ units).
